Sleep With The Fishes
By gonzalez-girlz | July 8, 2015The latest hidden DTLA gem is Mrs. Fish, located in the basement of the historical Pershing Square building. As I descended down an elaborate iron staircase, my eyes were immediately drawn to the glowing sea life above me. This massive beaming chandelier of aquatic life boasts an impressive 5,500 gallons! The suspended aquarium illuminates the architecturally stunning space, submerging you into an edgy and glamorous world! You will sip on decadent mixology drinks and their menu offers caviar varietals as well as dishes that are devilishly addicting. I had the savory Beef Sliders, with the Caprese Crostad, and munched on the Dill n’ Chips…mmm…So Damn Good! If you like something sweet and bubbly, try their Poolside Brass, complete with a blue floating mermaid! I personally went insane over the Flaming Hetfield, made with bourbon, sugar, bitters, topped off with the bartender torching an orange slice dipped in sugar. As I sipped on my perfect cocktail, I sat back on a cowhide sofa and listened to the live rock band while gazing over this ultra cool environment. I am truly grateful for this inviting hot spot in DTLA! Mrs. Fish is the quintessential place to unwind and have fun, so I naturally deemed it the Jaded LA Business of the Week. This rock n’ roll den is open Wednesday-Sunday, so take the time to indulge at Mrs. Fish!
What I Wore: black turband (nastygal), pony-haired ankle booties by LAMB (gilt), and black satin jumpsuit (houseofvintagela).
