Theatres are scattered throughout DTLA, some surviving, and some sadly sit vacant , or are used as a retail space. To beat the summer heat, I love to catch events going on at the local theatre. I appreciate the history and the architecture that it brings to our city. As I walked up and down Broadway I could only imagine what it must have been like in the 20’s. Lights gleaming, shows every night. I hope to one day see Broadway and the other remaining theatres around DTLA up and thriving again! I’m convinced it will happen, someday!
